W 2009 roku Rada Miasta uchwaliła plan miejscowy dla Łasztowni oraz Wyspy Grodzkiej i w ten sposób umożliwiła zabudowę tego terenu w formie śródmiejskiej. Rok później w prasie lokalnej pojawiły się artykuły prezentujące wielowariantową koncepcję dla Starego Miasta.

Indywidualne Projektowanie Uśmiechu

Samochód parkujemy na parkingu poza Podzamczem. Dopiero od lat 90 XX wieku zdecydowano się na rewitalizację fragmentu podzamcza. Tak by na Starym Mieście utworzyć coś co przypominało by chociaż trochę zabytkowe śniadania w szczecinie rynki miejskie. Ma być częścią projektu czterech placów Starego Miasta.

Przechodzimy do fazy wdrożeniowej, w pierwszej kolejności skupiając się na przygotowawczych inwestycjach transportowych. Teraz zamawiamy projekt dotyczący parkowania, będący kontynuacją wizji urbanistycznej.

W jednym z poziomów wymoszczenia wykorzystano nawet łódź jednopienną, tzw. Dłubankę, której burty pierwotnie były podwyższone. XIII wieku budowano tu duże domy zrębowe, zaopatrzone w drewniane podłogi na legarach. Przed przystąpieniem do budowy obiektów ramowo-szkieletowych wiązanych z osadnikami niemieckimi teren został wyrównany, a szczątki domów zrębowych usunięte.

Wprowadźcie państwo wysokie opłaty parkingowe, 5 zł za 30 min, 10 zł za godzinę i egzekwujcie to skutecznie. Zarobicie trochę i pogonicie niepotrzebnych kierowców.Jeśłi teren należy do miasta, to na co czeka? Z czasem będzie pusto i będzie można postawic znak zakazu parkowania. Obecnie  kierowcy  parkują samochody na Podzamczu, bo na ul.Wyszyńskiego i na terenie Starego miasta trzeba płacić, a tam  nie. Podczas II wojny światowej aż 90% Starego Miasta zostało zniszczone. Było to spowodowane nalotem dywanowym na miasto.

Pierwsze prace polskich badaczy w powojennym już Szczecinie cechowało podejmowanie polemiki z badaczami niemieckimi przede wszystkim na temat historii politycznej Pomorza Zachodniego. Punktem wyjścia było stwierdzenie ciągłości rozwojowej miasta od niewielkiej początkowo osady na jednym ze szczecińskich wzgórz, po miasto w znaczeniu prawnym, funkcjonujące w oparciu o prawo magdeburskie od połowy XIII stulecia. Udział archeologii na tym etapie badań był raczej marginalny. Najważniejszymi były źródła narracyjne, normatywne i hagiograficzne. Zniszczenia wojenne wynikające z intensywnych nalotów alianckich w końcowej fazie działań wojennych paradoksalnie przyczyniły się do podjęcia szerokopłaszczynowych badań archeologicznych na terenie szczecińskiego Podzamcza oraz obu dziedzińców zamku książąt pomorskich. Znaczna intensyfikacja prac archeologicznych na szczecińskim Podzamczu, o różnym zresztą charakterze, nastąpiła pod koniec lat 80.

Pomimo niedogodności podmokły rejon nadrzeczny stopniowo, ale stosunkowo szybko stał się najważniejszym członem organizmu wczesnomiejskiego. Domy lokowano najpierw na w miarę suchych piaszczystych łachach rozsianych wyspowo na obszarze pomiędzy dzisiejszą ulicą Wyszyńskiego a Trasą Zamkową. Stabilizacji gruntu sprzyjały procesy antropogeniczne na równi z naturalnymi. To działka tuż przy zaplanowanej do wyburzenia łącznicy Trasy Zamkowej.
